*Call to Worship
Leader: When we have been overwhelmed by the flood of fears,
when our wheels got stuck in the mud,
People: you were with us, O God,
helping us to find solid ground.
Leader: When we clung to our old securities,
when we relied on the ways of the world,
People: you went before us,
leading us into the kingdom of grace.
Leader: When we cling to everything that would hold us back,
when we are hesitant to cut the ties to our past,
People: you show us the future you have prepared for us;
you open our hearts to your love.
*Opening Hymn " Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah" #127
*Unison Prayer
We give you thanks, O Lord, we call on your name. We will make known your deeds among the peoples.
We’ll sing to you; we’ll sing praises to you; we’ll tell of all your wonderful works. We glory in your holy name; let the hearts of those who seek you rejoice.
We seek you, Lord, and your strength, and your presence continually. We remember the wonderful works you have done, your miracles, and the judgments you uttered.
You are the Lord our God; your judgments are in all the earth.
Amen
