Do you have a poem or a prayer you would like to share? If so, submit it to churchoffice@stoneumc.org for an upcoming Messenger. This month’s poem was submitted by Annie Fnney with these words…”This poem was found in my mother, Florence Odell’s, papers. She was a proofreader for the Meadville Tribune and proofread Stone’s Messenger and weekly bulletins. She was a lover of words”.
Watch Your Words
A careless word may kindle strife;
A cruel word may wreck a life.
A biter word may hate instill;
A brutal word may smite and kill.
A gracious word may smooth the way;
A joyous word may light the day.
A timely word may lessen stress;
A loving word my heal and bless.
