Stone UMC's Care Team Ministry was created to reach out with food and prayers to anyone dealing with illness, a death in the family or a crisis of any kind. Donors provide soup, casseroles, bread and cookies to the first floor freezer. These food items can then be picked up and delivered the very day the request is made.
If you would like to prepare a food item that freezes well (soup, stew, sloppy joes, cookies, etc), please put it in a container that is freezer safe (and that you don't want back). Label the contents and the date and put it in the freezer in the kitchen across from Miller Parlor.
Then, if you know of someone/s who would appreciate a care package, take needed items from the freezer and fill out one of the cards in the drawer. (Cards say "With love and prayers from the Stone Church Care Team".
In the drawer next to the refrigerator is a small blue book (it says "volunteers" on the front). If you would write your name, what you delivered, who you took it to and the date that would be greatly appreciated.
If you would like more information at any point, please contact the church office by phone or by email or fill out the form below.
