Pastor: Welcome to worship today. Bring your joys and burdens to the Lord.

People: For God hears the cries of our hearts and heals our wounded souls.

Pastor: Remember the wondrous deeds that God continues to perform in your life.

People: Let us be thankful for all the mercies and tenderness that God offers to us.

Pastor: Come, praise the Lord with all your heart and soul.

People: Let our voices raise in a powerful concert of praise and thanksgiving. AMEN.

* Opening Hymn – “O God our Help in Ages Past” #117

**Unison Prayer

Loving God, you give us freedom. In fact, in you, we live in perfect freedom. Fear tries to bind us. Idolatry comes chasing after us. Divisive arguments try to trap us in corners and keep us locked away from one another. These are not the freedoms you have in mind for your children, loving God. We confess, we have submitted to them in the past, but no more. Inspire us to live in the freedom you have given us for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You set us free. Give us the courage to enjoy it. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pastor: Help us to build a strong foundation of faith through prayer, studying your Word, and acting on your will.

People: May our lives be a testament to your grace and a source of inspiration for those who come after us. May our actions and words point others to You, Lord, so that our faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
